GUIDE BOOKS

Our new guide books are sold in eBook format only.  They do not come in paperback.  After making a purchase, you will given a download link.  You can use that link to download the Zip file containing the book.  

You will need a copy of Winzip to unpack that file.  If you don't have Winzip, you can get a free copy at this link.

The contents of the zip file vary a little from book to book.  Be sure to read the description provided for each book to see what will be in the zip file.  The main file will always be there.  It will be (book title).exe.    It will be in a folder titled Book

All zip files will have a folder named, Navigation.  Inside that folder will be one or more files that include mile by mile directions and GPS positions for all the turns and points of interest.

Most zip files will have a folder named, DeLorme TopoUSA.  To use these files, you will need to have TopoUSA installed on your computer.  This is a GPS mapping program and can be a lot of fun with mapping and the route for the book displayed on the map.  We used version 7.0.  The files may not work with older versions.

Most zip files will have a folder named, GPS - GPX files.  Most GPS units with download capability will be able to load these files as routes that can be followed.

Some zip files will have a folder named, Maps.  This folder will have maps of the route in JPG format.  They can be printed and taken along on the trip.

Once you load the file, you have the option of printing the entire book or individual pages.

eBooks are inexpensive to distribute but the information these books contain is very expensive to gather.  We ask that you do not give away free copies. The more copies we sell, the more selections we will be able to offer.

FICTION BOOKS

Larry E Heck has written serveral fiction stories that have never been published anywhere.  We intend to publish them and offer them in our store.  They will be in DNL format.  You will need a DNL reader to open them.  A free DNL reader can be downloaded from:

That is where the software came from to publish ebooks in the styles found on this web site.  When they are downloaded, the file will be named, (book name).dnl  .  This format will not run on Apple Computers.  To receive a copy to run on an Apple computer, email us at
